Studio Policy

Please respect your instructors and fellow students!

  • Be inclusive and open minded.
  • No phone calls, texting or other phone activities during class.
  • No street shoes permitted in the studio.
  • We do not tolerate bullying or disrespecting of other students and their personal space.
Such behavior will result in you being removed from the studio, and you will no longer be able to take classes at The Playroom.

  • When you arrive at the studio, you will find your name on the check-in kiosk in the reception.
  • You will need to confirm your arrival in person on the kiosk, or with the receptionist.
  • You will get a token that the instructor will collect when the class starts.
  • The earliest you can check-in is 2 hours before the class starts.
  • If you have not checked in within 5 minutes before the class starts, your spot might be given to someone on the waitlist.
  • We recommend that you check-in 10-15 min before the class starts.

You should be dressed and ready to start your session at the scheduled time.
  • We suggest that you arrive at least 10 minutes before your class to avoid being late and/or lose your spot.
This is a safety issue, and we ask that you respect both our instructors and other students by showing up on time.

We do understand that things can occur during your day.

If you have given us a notice that you will be late, and it has been received by the receptionist, we can allow access to class within 5 minutes after it has started.

Please understand that this will vary depending on the type of class, and the receptionist might still not be able to give you access to the class.

If you are more than 5 minutes late, you will unfortunately not get access to class – without exceptions.
A late cancel/no-show fee will be registered.

At The Playroom we have a 4-hour cancelation policy. If you cancel more than 4 hours before your scheduled class, your class credit will be returned to your account and you will be able to schedule for a future date.

*All Members will be charged 50,- NOK each time they late cancel or 100 NOK at no-show.
** Clip-card holder will lose 1. clip with both late cancel/no-show.

Many people want to secure their spot well ahead of time. For that reason, there are usually many cancellations right before the Late Cancel window (4 hours).

Put yourself on the waitlist, and you will receive a notification in the app if you get a spot. (You´ll need to have notifications turned ON)

Keep in mind that the rules for late cancelation/no show still will apply when you are on the waitlist. It is important to remove yourself from the waitlist if you don´t intend to attend class.
Within 30 minutes ahead of the class, it is only possible to join the waitlist in the reception.

All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once you purchase your classes/sessions/space rentals, make sure you know the expiration date and use all sessions before that date. We will not extend the expiration date.

You are only allowed to bring cell-phone (on silent mode) and valuables (small purse or similar) into the class.

Bags, clothes etc. are NOT allowed into class.

This is a safety and comfort issue, as there needs to be a minimum space for movement between the poles!

Please reach out to the receptionist if you have bigger item valuables (Computer etc.) that you do not want to leave in the wardrobe.

The Playroom takes no responsibility for any personal items you store in our space, and can not be held liable in case of a loss.

Taking pictures and filming are not allowed during classes.

The instructor will give you permission in THE END of the class.

ALL PHOTO/VIDEO material being published MUST be credited: #theplayroomoslo AND the instructor handle.

Please wear proper attire when training at our studio.

Proper attire includes: pole and athletic wear such as shorts, sports bras or tank tops. No transparent material showing private areas.
No undergarments are allowed to be used in place of workout attire.

It is not allowed to change outfits inside the studio.

Note to self: Pole can be a very intimate activity, make sure you feel fresh and smell clean before entering class.

Food and beverages, with the exception of bottled water, are not allowed in the dance studio.

Please make sure to leave food and drinks in the locker room with your personal belongings. You are more than welcome to eat and re-charge in our lounge area.

Upon arrival for your first visit, you are required to present identification to verify your age and identity.

A photo will also be taken and added to your online account to ensure yours and everyone’s safety in the studio.

Anyone 16  and older can attend classes on our regular schedule; minors under 16 may only take private sessions scheduled with an instructor.

If you are under the age of 18, we require parental consent before you are permitted to take a class or schedule a private session, party or space rental. The parent or legal guardian must come to the studio with the minor, provide photo ID. This is for insurance and liability purposes. Feel free to sign up for class online ahead of time, but make sure any minors are accompanied by their parent when arriving at the studio for the first time. Make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled class or session start time.
